Labor Day Jamboree

What is the Labor Day Jamboree?

Imagine an event where your family and your closest friends plan a long weekend together full of music. Not just any music though, but the sweet sounds of Barbershop Harmony! Over the long weekend you choose to participate as much or as little as you'd like. A weeeknd that you and your family will enjoy playing in the pool together or relaxing in the sun or maybe taking a day to visit one of the many nearby attractions. You might find yourself singing in a pool or out on the golf course swinging with your closest or new found friends. Well, that's the idea of the Labor Day Jamboree. It's all about families and friends enjoying each other during the days and then going to see incredible talent packed shows in the evenings.

Each year, groups are carefully selected to sing on Saturday's Jamboree-style show. The groups are typically Florida's own and the show is always a hit! The Sunday night SuperShop Show is sure to top off the weekend just right!! These nationwide groups are selected years in advance and represent the best that Barbershop Harmony has to offer!

On Sunday, plan on suiting up and playing in the Dave LaBar Memorial Almost Classic Classic golf tournament. It's held at a nearby golf course. Typically there are friendly rivalries that take place and everyone wants to knock-off the others for the title. The tournament is a lot of fun and we aren't concerned with handicaps or handicaps, ringers or dingers. All we want is a fun day! Stack your team or not. We just don't care... unless you want to beat Team Loos. Then go ahead and stack your team. Beat them as they've never been beaten before. We'll all stand around and cheer you on! The bottom line, be there!

The Labor Day Jamboree has been a Barbershop mainstay in Florida (also known as the Sunshine District to us Barbershoppers) for over 50-years now. The LDJ is an amazing weekend and those of us that make the annual pilgrimage thoroughly enjoy adding our experiences to that legacy. Please plan on joining us. You'll be glad you did.
